Saint Anthony of Antas Church
Saint Anthony of Antas Church is located in the extreme north of the parish of Bonfim, next to the elegant neighbourhood of Antas. The church is dated from the first half of the twentieth century and its plan was drawn by the architect José Ferreira Peneda. The church crypt was only conclude in 1938, due to some delays in its construction, and then it was transformed into a parish hall. In 1944 a new project emerged, based on a graduation thesis from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, written by Fernando Tudela and Fernando Barbosa. The church has a classical style and evokes the Italian influence (Source: Jorge Ricardo Pinto (2011), Bonfim - Território de Memórias e Destinos).
